It's been six years since Tha Dogg Pound put out a new album, with the last being 100 Ways dropping in 2010. The Cali duo is looking to change that with the release of their new project, which looks like it will see the light of day in 2017. It sounds like someone has put the battery in Daz's back production wise, because he's promising some heat on the new project.

Recently taking to Instagram, the Long Beach native posted a picture of a vinyl of a track he produced for Snoop Dogg and 2Pac, off the Gridlock'd Soundtrack. "THIS YEAR IM BAC PRODUCING CANT LET THESE YOUNG NIGGA GET IT ALL I GOT SLAPPPERZ NEW DPG DOGGPOUND ALBUM," he captioned the picture.

Daz's production credits are well documented, but as of lately he's been less active in the studio. The mid '90s was a different story.

He produced all but three tracks on the duo's 1995 double platinum debut Dogg Food, including the singles "Let's Play House" and "New York, New York."

He had his hand all over the first disk of 2Pac's classic double album All Eyez On Me, producing several tracks including "Ambitionz az a Ridah," "2 of Americaz Most Wanted" featuring Snoop Dogg, "I Ain't Mad at Cha," and "Got My Mind Made Up" featuring Method Man, Daz, Kurupt and Redman.

Most recently, Daz has been focused on film making. In October, Daz revealed a preview for his upcoming movie DPG 4 LIfe: Straight Outta Compton 2, which chronicles the come up of the Long Beach collective.
