Chance The Rapper and Casey Affleck attempted to decorate the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree in a new promo for Saturday Night Live. Chance will serve as the musical guest of SNL's upcoming episode, which will be the last one of 2016. As you can see in the above clip, Chance was underprepared as he brought a small step ladder. Affleck pointed this out, but Chance told him that they just need to believe.

The Chicago MC has a more serious event to participate in next month. Chance The Rapper will be one of the speakers at the NAACP's "The People's Inauguration" rally, which is scheduled to take place at Howard University on Jan. 21. The rally will be held one day after Donald Trump's presidential inauguration as a response to the President-elect's administration.

The People's Inauguration "will bring together leading civil rights activists, artists and thought leaders, to discuss the critical issues of our generation: criminal justice reform, voting rights, economic sustainability, environmental justice, and police reform." The rally is part of a new movement called #StayWokeAndFight.

The NAACP thinks highly of Chance The Rapper as he recently received four nominations for the 2017 NAACP Image Awards. The "Angels" rapper was nominated for Entertainer of the Year, Outstanding New Artist, Outstanding Male Artist and Outstanding Album. The honor came of the heels of Chance getting nominated for seven Grammy Awards, including Best New Artist, Best Rap Album and Best Rap Song.
