Hot 97's Ebro Darden stays butting heads with hip-hop's new generation of rappers. Today (Nov. 15), Ebro tweets that Rae Sremmurd's "Black Beatles" is only the No. 1 song in the country because of the #MannequinChallenge.

Slim Jxmmi quickly comes back with a clever response, typing, "@oldmanebro you doing the #MannequinChallenge when you look at them charts huh?" You can view both tweets below.

In case you missed it, "Black Beatles" soared to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart yesterday (Nov. 14). The song, which dethroned The Chainsmoker's "Closer," previously sat at No. 9 on the Billboard Top 10. The chart rise is thanks in large part to the Mannequin Challenge, as social media users soundtrack their videos with the Rae Sremmurd single from SremmLife 2. However, that doesn't take away from the fact that "Black Beatles" is an amazing track.

Rappers have also been participating in the #MannequinChallenge. In case you missed it, check out XXL's list of rappers—Young Thug, A$AP Ferg, Chief Keef and more—who have recently joined the Internet phenomenon. Even Paul McCartney showed love to “Black Beatles” by doing his own version of the Mannequin Challenge. In the clip, McCartney is pictured behind his grand piano, looking up to the sky as Slim Jxmmi raps, “Black Beatle, bitch, me and Paul McCartney related.” Rae Sremmurd has to feel pretty good that a real-life Beatle joined in on the fun.

In other "Black Beatles"-related news, Gucci Mane recently went on ESPN's His & Hers to show love to Rae Sremmurd for featuring him on the smash record.
