Jay Z has been in the rap game for well over two decades now, but that doesn't mean he's unable to send large crowds into a frenzy. On Saturday (Nov. 19), the Watch the Throne rapper did just that by turning in a dope performance at this year's Global Citizen Festival in India.

Before beginning his electrifying set, Hov let the Mumbai crowd know that they were "beautiful souls" who had attended the concert in order to help "a great cause." The Global Citizen Festival is an annual concert designed to draw attention to extreme poverty and hopefully end it by 2030. Chris Martin, who is the lead singer of Coldplay and also a friend of Hov and Kanye, is currently the concert's creative director.

After the brief introduction, Hov got to work doing what he does best. During the course of his set, which was preceded by a performance from Coldplay, Hov performed some of the biggest songs from his massive catalog, including "Empire State of Mind," "Big Pimpin," "Run This Town," "99 Problems" and "Holy Grail." Predictably, the Mumbai crowd went absolutely nuts. Peep pictures from the show below.

It looks like Hov had a good time, and we hope he did, because he's no doubt about to catch a ton of unwanted attention. That same night, Kanye West called out Hov and Beyoncé for various offenses during one of his concerts. The rant was more or less a continuation of the sort of increasingly controversial stream-of-conscious speeches he's given over the last several months. Neither Jay nor the Queen Bey have responded to Yeezy's latest rant, and there's a very good chance that they'll never speak on it. Still, we have a feeling Jay isn't too happy with Kanye's latest bit of controversy.
