Iggy Azalea was named GQ Australia's Woman of the Year this week, gracing the publication's end of year cover as seen via Iggy's Instagram above. The Aussie rapper had a bit of a false start on her sophomore album Digital Distortion, this year, saying recently of album delays, “It’s no secret, I kind of had my personal life fall apart… I needed a lot of time.”

Accepting her honor, Iggy cracked a few jokes about the objectification of women, saying during her speech, "Thank you so much. I didn't realize everyone was going to have such hilarious speeches and I didn't prepare anything this week. I just want to give a big thank you to GQ for this award. I've won a lot of awards over the last few years, but this one means the absolute most to me because I can finally say I have an award winning vagina. Thank you."

Photos from Iggy's feature are included below, as are pictures from the ceremony. In the GQ Australia issue, she explains the context for the above joke, saying, "I'm excited [about my award]. I like to call it 'Vagina of the Year' though. I don't know why it cracks me up, I just think it's funny to reduce myself down to a vagina sometimes. 'Vagina of the Year' is a big achievement, number one Australian pussy. People won't get the joke, but it's funny because [in the media] women are reduced to vaginas. Some days I'm a vagina, others I'm a human."

When GQ, a men's magazine, features women on the cover or within, it's usually in provocative fashion, perhaps explaining Iggy's point of view. Iggy's engagement to Los Angeles Laker Nick Young fell apart earlier in the year, but she's since rebounded with French Montana, the two spotted vacationing and partying together in recent months.
