In a shocking turn of events, Donald Trump won every swing state Tuesday evening (Nov. 8) securing the presidency and defeating Hillary Clinton. The hip-hop community had been active in supporting Clinton, Chance The Rapper, Jay Z, Pusha T and more giving her their endorsement, and so Trump's victory has elicited a reaction as well, many taking to social media to express their disbelief, sadness and moral outrage. Check out a gallery of reactions above, with longer responses and videos below.

"I am disappointed, shocked and shaken at my core by what has transpired tonight," Macklemore wrote, like many, in the middle of the night. "I'm truly disappointed in the people that think this is a joke and are posting & making memes; This is real and if any of the rhetoric that was spewed during the campaigns is able to come to fruition I doubt that you'll be laughing & joking for long," Remy Ma added.

Some tried their best to remain positive, such as Questlove, who wrote, "I'm just praying whatever strength I was given to make it through the hard times of yesteryear, that this strength and power revive me and all of my people." Perhaps the most succinct reaction came from Lil B though, who simply wrote, "Yep so this how y'all feeling." T.I. meanwhile shared a sentiment likely true for most Clinton voters. "I swear on my life,If I could've done more I would've. We all deserve better. We just gotta live through this&prepare ourselves for what's next."

Check out the reactions throughout all of hip-hop above and below, most of which expand on the SMH feeling.
