Drake's got a lot of enemies, but he has a lot of friends as well, French Montana among them. The two have collaborated on such songs as "Pop That," "Stay Schemin" and most recently "No Shopping," with Drake taking to Instagram on Wednesday (Nov. 9) to wish French a happy birthday. The rapper turned 32 years old.

"Happy Birthday Splash!" Drizzy wrote. "My brother for life too much memories and victories to ever switch up. I'm playing 17000 all day long today. Always one of my icons living to the fullest." "17000" is a French song from years back, before he broke out with "Shot Caller" in 2012.

French recently released his second studio album MC4 after multiple delays, the above mentioned "No Shopping" one of its many star-studded singles that failed to really land. L.A. Reid, president of Epic, said in August, “French is incredible and a beloved artist. And he deserves a moment, a real moment of monster success. And that’s what we’re aiming for. And we didn’t want a calendar to dictate that for us. We want it to really happen organically and naturally.”

French had released his Wave Gods mixtape hosted by Max B in February, with the incarcerated Max B eyeing an early release, his 75 year sentence reduced in September. Check Drake's well-wishes above, while below, he announces the date for his annual Drake night with the Toronto Raptors, which will take place next week with the Golden state Warriors in town.
