While Thanksgiving is a fun time full of family and good vibes for some, for the less fortunate, the holiday can be the total opposite of lit. Rappers Curren$y and Big Sean did their part to make sure people in their respective hometowns of New Orleans and Detroit at least had a meal on Turkey Day.

The Hot Spitta conducted his giveaway along with the Canal Street eatery We Dat's Chicken and Shrimp owner Gregoire Tillery. The two pulled a truck in front of the restaurant and started slinging birds. The local ABC news affiliate showed up and started documenting the giveaway (above).

"We're doing a turkey giveaway for all the people who come to the restaurant and support me," Tillery told WGNO.

"Everybody's supposed to have Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow, and we're trying to make sure," Curren$y added.

Big Sean did the same for his people in the D. Sean Don took it the extra step and gave out whole dinners. Fellow Motor City natives DeJ Loaf and Zay Hillfiger were on hand, as well as the G.O.O.D. Music rapper's mother.

"Giving back n handing out turkeys n sides for the families who needed a lil extra help this holiday," Sean captioned a picture of the event that he posted on Instagram. "Handed out over 2,000 dinners all together, luv to the @seanandersonorg n everyone involved. For the city."
