During a Saint Pablo show this past weekend (Oct. 15) in Edmonton, Kanye West called out those imitating his floating stage concept, saying, "This the original. Accept no imitations. You with the rap God right now. Niggas be copying my shit bro. Stealing our shit, stealing stages. Copying our shit one-to-one.”

Yeezus didn't name any names, but South African rapper Cassper Nyovest has come forward to claim that he had the idea first, posting the above photo to Instagram and writing, "This is what we did last year." He followed that up by tweeting the same image early Monday morning, writing, "Woke up to my name on American blogs about how I possibly stole kanye's stage. We did this a year ago already. lol. Ya Neh."

This could very well be the case of two artists arriving at the same idea independent of one another, but Nyovest seems to have arrived there first. Below you can see him performing with the floating stage at the Fill Up the Dome concert as far back as November 2015, well before the Saino Pablo tour started.

Check Nyovest's rebuttals to West above and below, with his mention of Orlando Stadium referencing a venue in Johannesburg.
