Straight facts: "Kiss Me Thru The Phone" is better than any episode of Love & Hip Hop. Yesterday (Oct. 4), Soulja Boy announced his departure from the VH1 show.

The Chicago-born, ATL native took to Twitter and typed, "I've decided to quit Love and hip hop. I feel my brand is too big for the show now. It's too ratchet. I have my own new tv show coming soon!" No word on what the TV show will be, but XXL will keep you updated as more information emerges. Soulja Boy followed up his announcement with several retweets of people with negative opinions of Love & Hip Hop, further cementing his stance against the program.

In case you missed it, Soulja dropped his King Soulja 6 mixtape on Sept. 29. The 23-track project boasts features from Boosie Badazz, Chief Keef, Doe Boy, Kid Red, Trill Sammy and Mango Foo. Soulja spits over instrumentals including A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie‘s “My Shit” and Kodak Black‘s “No Flocking.” He puts his spin on Desiigner's “Timmy Turner” XXL Freshman freestyle and shouts out his favorite fashion brands with tracks about his lavish lifestyle.

In August, the 26-year-old artist released his Rockstar project. The SODMG rapper’s body of work includes guest features from Sean Kingston, Go Yayo, Spectacular, Lil Ronnie and King Reefa. Throughout Rockstar, Soulja Boy raps about similar topics of fame and wealth. On track six, he flows over DJ Khaled, Future and Jay Z’s summer banger, “I Got the Keys.”
