Safaree Drops His Lawsuit Against Nicki Minaj

With a starring role on the new season of Love & Hip Hop Hollywood, Safaree is establishing himself beyond his famous break-up with Nicki Minaj and speaking with Rap-Up recently, he reveals that he's stopped pursuing his lawsuit against her. In November of 2015, word broke that Samuels was planning to sue Nicki, alleging that he played a significant role in a majority of the music she’s released in her career.

"I dropped everything," he says in the above video. "I had started a process and then I just was like, 'You know what, it is what it is. If you wanna deal with it like that, go ahead. I ain’t tripping.' I’m doin’ a lot and I don’t want to be having to deal with depositions and courts and all of that. Ain’t nobody threaten me. Ain't nobody make me do it. At the end of the day, I didn’t even want to do it. I just know, if it was me and the shoe was on the other foot, I would have handled it and said, 'Yo, peace out. Here, do what you gotta do, thats it.' I just dropped it."

The language here is pretty vague, but it seems Safaree is saying that Nicki should have offered a settlement in light of the suit, though she likely maintains that his involvement in her music career is less than what he would suggest. Safaree as well said that seeing Nicki's commercials or hearing about her doesn't faze him. "I laugh and joke so much, it’s hard for me to take certain things serious and really be acting heartbroken and upset," he says.

SB had some thoughts on the Meek Mill—Game beef as well, saying, "The Game is a beast. His beef game is really…he does this. Game is no joke." And he said of Gam'e Meek diss "Pest Control," "That was one of the craziest diss records of all time in diss history. And it’s not even on no bias shit." On the track, Game references Safaree, saying Meek FaceTimed him knowing he was with another chick.

At the very end of the interview, Safaree even goes so far as to say Meek "was definitely a big part as to why me and Nicki broke up." On "Pest Control," Game claims Meek FaceTimed Nicki and showed Safaree cheating on her with other women. Could that be what Safaree is alluding to here?
