Pusha T has been doing his part to help Hillary Clinton's campaign for president, and on Thursday night (Oct. 27), he stopped by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to discuss the fact that convicted felons are unable to vote. "It’s like you keep paying forever, we have to change that," he said, identifying the issue as most important to him because it's "tearing apart our community right now."

Earlier this week, Push sat down with Vice Presidential candidate Tim Kaine asking him how systemic racism can be eliminated. “My biggest concern is the criminal justice system. We’re definitely on the same page in regards to knowing that it’s flawed and needs to be fixed,” Kaine said. “We have communities where everybody respects the law, but everybody needs to be respected by the law too."

In the video above, Push and Colbert discuss the famous "Grindin" beat, Pusha T saying of his good friend Pharrell, "He actually threatened me. He told me that if I was not at the studio in ten minutes to get the beat he was going to give the beat to Jay Z… The fact that he would give a great beat to an artist that wasn’t from our hometown would have burnt me up."

As for his encounters with Clinton herself, Pusha says they've only met over FaceTime though she invited him to a party on election day, Nov. 8. Catch his full comments up above.
