The third annual Revolt Music Conference went down in Miami this weekend, things kicking off on Thursday (Oct. 13) when DJ Khaled was presented with the key to Miami Beach and mayor Philip Levine named the day Sean Diddy Combs Day. They weren't the only rappers to receive honors though, as Nas was named the 2016 Jimmy Iovine Award recipient, Diddy presenting him with it in the above video.

Puff extolls plenty of praise for Nas and shares a story from their time shooting the "Hate Me Now Video." Posting to Instagram afterward, Nas wrote of the award, which honors an innovator and a leader who has impacted the culture and changed the game, and the men who came together to honor him, "We've all been thru serious trying times. So to see these men standing strong for so many years and getting stronger by the day...its inspiration. It's encouragement. And empowering." He as well posted on image of himself and Puff, writing, "@iamdiddy thanks for the friendship. For being my brother. We're two crazy mfa's who somehow figured it out for ourselves. But you are a Leader that we ALL learned from! Truly humbled by the Honor King. The future is ours. Let's continue to pave the way."

During Puffy's speech in honor of Esco, he remembers being young and riding through Queensbridge dolo, and he seems to make a reference to former rival Suge Knight. "I passed the seven figure mark and I'm out in Queensbridge, by myself, no security. Nas will tell you," remembers Puff in the clip below. "I'm in the video, making a cameo, because you know Puff all up in the videos, all on the motherfuckin' records. And now I'm here, nigga! You see it! Take that."

Check photos from the evening below, while above, Diddy remembers hearing "Ether" for the first time, watching The Get Down and is generally the charismatic speaker we all know him to be.
