Philadelphia was heavily represented at the 2016 BET Hip-Hop Awards. According to Meek Mill, that was all thanks to him. The Maybach Music Group rapper went on Instagram to claim he was the one who pitched a Philly cypher to BET.

"BY THE WAY...... I'm the one who pitched a philly cypher and getting philly more involved with @bet," he wrote. "Alley ooping a n#%ga that's throwing shade but still catching blessings!"

The latter part of Meek Mill's message is obviously referring to Beanie Sigel, who Meek Mill is beefing with right now. Beans was part of the State Property cypher with fellow members Freeway, Peedi Crakk, Omillio Sparks and Neef Buck. But the City of Brotherly Love was all over the cyphers as Empire cast members Yazz and Bre-Z contributed to the New Edition cypher, while rising star Kur was another Philly native who participated in the cyphers.

Even if Meek Mill did help out Beanie Sigel, it is unlikely to ease any tension between the two. Beans recently previewed a diss track he plans to drop soon. “Somebody got to die/This guy, this guy/Even when somebody mama throwing a fish fry/Bigger the beef, bigger the clip size," Sigel rapped in the 21-second clip.

It should come as no surprise that Beanie Sigel intends to fire back at Meek Mill following the Dreamchasers MC's diss in a freestyle for Funkmaster Flex. "They like Meek Milly, won’t you spit that crack again/Fake niggas up three, bring us back again/Riding down Broad Street, I’m in that back again/I bully niggas unlike Mack again," Meek rapped.
