Kodak Black Sings Over the Phone From Jail

Kodak Black remains locked up in a St. Lucie County jail for two misdemeanor weed charges, but shares some new music over the phone, singing what sounds like a hook that addresses some of his legal troubles. Kodak can be heard in the above Twitter video, reciting the bars acapella.

In the clip, Kodak raps, "I’ve been through a lot in my past/I’m tryna stay level-headed /I gotta stop moving so fast/I don’t know where I’m headed/You don’t even answer no more/It seem like you wanna be separate/Everybody telling me go/But I don’t know where I’m headed."

Last month, Kodak was sentenced to 120 days in prison, though he won’t serve the entire four-month sentence, because he’ll be credited time already served behind bars. “At the end of the day, for St. Lucie County, I think he did well,” his attorney James Regan said.

Kodak pleaded no contest to one charge of possession of 20 grams or less of marijuana and one charge of use or possession of marijuana paraphernalia. He is expected to be released on Nov. 30, but he’s still facing criminal sexual misconduct charges in South Carolina, so whether he’ll actually be free at that time isn’t yet clear.
