Drake is postponing three of his remaining Summer Sixteen Tour shows due to his ankle injury. The Views rapper posted the announcement on his official OVO Blog today (Oct. 5), regrettably informing fans that he has to push back a few shows in order to give his ankle time to heal.

"We are over 50 shows in and I have done everything to power through my recent ankle injury and leave it all out there on the stage every night. I hate to be told I can't do something, but under doctor's orders to allow me time to recuperate, I am forced to postpone the intense three shows in a row in cities which have only ever shown me unconditional support," wrote the Grammy-winner. Drake went on to say tour stops in Toronto, Philadelphia ("a city that was one of the loudest and showed the most loved") and Newark will has to be postponed until further notice.

"I am crushed to even be typing this announcement because I feel like I am letting my fans in these cities down," Drake continued. "I only want to give you the best show you deserve, I promise, I will make it up to you. I can't wait to see you all again with new music and a stronger ankle."

Drake and Future's Summer Sixteen tour has undoubtedly been the most electrifying rap tour to hit North America this year. Through his 50 stops, Drake has brought out big name special guests like Diddy, J. Cole, Dr. Dre, Big Sean, Kanye West and T.I . The tour, which kicked off back in July, has been a huge money maker for the Toronto MC but has also noticeably taken a toll on his health. In September, the "One Dance" star posted a pic on Instagram of himself, seemingly pushing through the pain and wrapping his twice-sprained ankle.
