The hoops season is about to kick off, which means colleges across the country are hosting events to get the students pumped about the new year in basketball. St. John's University set things off with a bang, inviting Desiigner to perform at their tip-off event.

Is there a better way to get 17-23 year olds turnt TF up about anything? The Brooklyn rapper whipped the crowd into a frenzy performing his breakout hit "Panda" on the court, under one of the hoops, while the gym filled with smoke. A person in a panda costume bounced around during the set. At one point during the song, Desiigner jumped into the bleachers and crowd surfed.

After the show, the G.O.O.D. Music MC was still charged up, exiting the building drenched in sweat and still looking like he could go for another hour at least.

Earlier this week, the king of crunk (no shade to Lil Jon) appeared on the Pusha T track "Circles" alongside Ty Dolla $ign, which is slated to be on the Virginia rapper's upcoming album King Push.

Last week, the 19-year-old dropped his latest track "Outlet." Produced by Vinylz, the song premiered last Saturday (Oct. 8) on OVO Sound Radio and will appear on DJ SpinKing’s upcoming project. The Brooklyn rapper is back from the slowed ramblings of “Timmy Turner,” with a change of pace track that’s more akin to his “Panda” turn up.
