Cardo has been one of the most consistent producers in rap for years now, but beyond being an excellent beatmaker, he's also got an exquisite curatorial ear, and he flexes it with this new mix of hot shit called Traps & Slaps Vol. 1. Listen to it above.

The mix features everyone from Bankroll Fresh to Lil Uzi Vert, Levi Carter to Ski Mask Malley. A couple tracks feature signature production from Cardo himself, but the mix really gives a glimpse into the taste of a producer who's worked with artists like Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott, Kamaiyah and Payroll Giovanni, all in one year.

If you've followed Cardo for awhile, you know he's bound to tweet about everything from classic, slept-on gangster rap from throughout the years to what's buzzing right now, so you'd be wise to follow him on Twitter if you're a music obsessive.

Earlier this year, XXL had the pleasure of premiering a Cardo-produced slapper by Jay Worth and G Perico (who go by G Worthy as a unit) called "Ain't Trippin" that, four months later, is still one of the hardest tracks we've heard this year.

And as for Taylor Gang fans, you're in luck—Wiz and Cardo are back in the lab cooking crack, too. Stay tuned for that, and look out for an instrumental tape coming from Cardo as well.
