Puma has officially spoken out against Famous Dex in the wake of the rapper's domestic violence scandal. Earlier this week, the Chicago rapper was caught on surveillance camera hitting his girlfriend repeatedly. The video was released by singer Tish Hyman. The rapper appears to chase the victim into a corner in what looks like the hallway of a building. Hyman claimed the incident took place at her home and even called the incident to Puma's attention.

Dex initially addressed the situation on Twitter in a series of since-deleted tweets claiming that he hurt his hand in the scuffle and that the girl was cheating on him.

“God Know Im Sorry For Flight Her She wasn’t hurt my I Cut My Hand Like WtF Im not Like That She Cheated on me an She Was Wrong God Know,” he wrote. “Me an my Girl was Fighting Ok Y’all Shit Happen I’m Not Perfect Bt it’s God Know that Problem Gone Now."

But it seems his apology wasn't enough. As the video began to go viral online, many Twitter users tweeted Puma directly, asking if this is the kind of person they wanted to represent their brand. Puma's social media team quickly began answering users in their mentions.

"PUMA does not condone any act of violence toward women. We do not, nor will we, have any relationship w/ Famous Dex," the account wrote to many of the female customers demanding answers Friday (Sept. 23).

Dex was the model for a recent Puma x Pink Dolphins clothing collab earlier this year. Pink Dolphin has taken down the promo shots featuring Dex, but Kollege Kid saved them and put them into video form below.

Time will tell how bad this scandal will hurt the "2 Times" rapper's career. But as of now, things aren't looking good.
