Meek Mill and Pusha T contribute to The Birth of a Nation soundtrack with their new collab "Black Moses." Assisted by singer Priscilla Renea, the two MCs go back and forth with menacing bars of oppression and strife. The street's perspective is clearly felt with this one.

Virgina's King Push and Philly's Meek Milly may come from different backgrounds, but both rappers have been vocal when it comes to the current state of police brutality in the United States. Each rapper has sounded off on social media, and sometimes in person, against the killings of Black men this year at the hands of police. And with The Birth of A Nation focusing on the historical portrayal of the slave rebellion of 1831 led by Nat Turner, the MC's had plenty of inspiration to craft their lyrics from.

Both Meek and Push have been taking part in their own separate battles lately. Meek Mill is currently caught up in a war of words with West Coast rapper The Game with other rappers like Beanie Sigel and Omelly jumping in to add fuel to the fire. Pusha on the other hand, is helping presidential candidate Hillary Clinton battle her way to the Oval Office by campaigning on her behalf.

Titled The Birth of a Nation: An Inspired By Album, the motion picture's corresponding project will also feature tracks from 2 Chainz, Nas, Gucci Mane, Wale, The Game, Anthony Hamilton, LeCrae, Vic Mensa, Leon Bridges and Trey Songz.

The Birth of a Nation is playing in select theaters and is slated to hit theaters nationwide on Oct. 7. Stream "Black Moses" below via Apple Music now.
