Louisville Cardinals quarterback Lamar Jackson put in work yesterday (Sept. 17). Solidifying himself as the Heisman front runner with 363 yards of total offense and five touchdowns, him and his squad stomped a mud hole in the then No. 2 ranked Florida State University Seminoles 63-20. After the victory, figuratively the biggest in school history, Jackson was all smiles even shouting out incarcerated XXL Freshman Kodak Black.

While walking off the field after the massive win, the QB turned to cameras and said, "Free Kodak. Pompano." Both the rapper and the athlete hail from the small south Florida town of Pompano Beach, Fla.

Black caught wind of Jackson's shout out and returned the favor on Instagram. Posting a picture of Jackson hurdling a player, the Project Baby commented, "I see ya my Nigga keep ballin I'm betting on you @new_era8 I'm proud of you.#pompano."

Since making the XXL Freshman cover, Kodak hasn't been able to take advantage of the exposure as he was arrested in May on multiple charges including robbery, false imprisonment, marijuana possession and driving without a license. It was his second arrest in 2016.

He was to be released from jail in August but ended up being held on more warrants. During the process of being released from Broward main jail in downtown Fort Lauderdale yesterday (Aug. 16), police discovered a warrant for Kodak in St. Lucie County, Fla. and another warrant out of Florence, S.C. According to the Broward Sheriff’s website, the out of state charge is criminal sexual conduct, a felony, while the St. Lucie charges are possession of weed and possession or use of paraphernalia. It wasn’t clear why the warrants weren’t discovered before the release process.

He remains in custody now facing a bevy of charges.
