Young Thug is gearing up to release his new album Jeffery this Friday (Aug. 26), and in preparation he drops a new trailer for the LP on his Instagram. You can watch it above.

In it, Thug's getting questioned by a whole host of people, familiar and unfamiliar. They swear he's Young Thug, but no, he says. "My name is Jeffery."

The trailer is part of an ongoing effort to rebrand Thug as a new type of artist, one that's distancing himself from the Slime Season era of his career. He talked to Travis Scott about it on last week's episode of .wav radio.

Jeffery is all about Jeffery," Thug told Travis. "It ain’t even about Young Thug. Ain’t no Young Thug songs on there,” he tells Travis. “The whole mixtape is straight crossover. I ain’t ready to go crossover yet […] I ain’t even fully ready yet, I give it eight more months, nine more months, everything will be perfecto.”

Last week, Thug dropped a new song off the album called "Elton" featuring Wyclef Jean. It looks to be renamed "John," judging by his label 300's Twitter.

For now, watch the trailer above and get ready for Thug's new project to drop this Friday.
