Theophilus London had a little run in with the New York Police Department Monday night (Aug. 8) but took his arrest in stride, documenting the series of events leading to and after his arrest on Twitter. "NY THEO is in jail right now. In a prison. In 1500.00 dior jeans" he wrote around 10:15 p.m., later explaining how he ended up there in the first place.

It all stems from an unfortunate cab experience in which London only had $100 bills on him and the cabbie didn't want to or was unable to make change. "So he tried to keep my hundred while screaming in my face , so I gave him 5 mins to make change. After I counted down to 1, I took his phone And smashed it into 900 pieces, then I ran into the IFC MOVIE cinema and the cops ran up on me. Haha. Couldn't buy a movie in time," he wrote. The IFC Center is located downtown in New York's Greenwich Village, for those looking to cast a setting and backdrop behind the story.

London would as well share stories from inside the holding cell, including one in which a fellow inmate comes on to him and how the arresting officers asked him to perform, later wishing him goodnight upon his release. What they should have done is asked him about the Frank Ocean album that London tweeted about last month when he said it was dropping soon. Check his more recent tweets below, where he remains in good spirits following the phone-smashing incident, capping things off with "Rockstar shit!"
