On Friday, RetcH used his Twitter account to announce himself as the newest addition to Top Dawg Entertainment's illustrious roster of rap superstars. However, TDE President Dave Free confirmed that the New Jersey up-and-comer has not signed with the label on Friday afternoon (Aug. 19).

Free also used his Twitter account to make his announcement and condemned somebody close to the TDE camp for allowing RetcH to wear their TDE chain. "Stop letting people where the TDE chain homie," Free's tweet reads. "2nd time these false stories hit the net."

The rumors sparked after RetcH uploaded a picture of himself with a TDE on, joking, "JUS SIGNED TO @TOPDAWGENT." You can see the photo at the top of this post. RetcH has yet to comment on Free's tweet.

It's been a rough past several months for the young rapper. Back in March, the "All Night" performer was arrested for armed robbery and using a minor to conspire to armed robbery. In July, the rapper returned home from prison. We hope he can stay out of trouble.

Keep it locked with XXL for more updates on RetcH and why exactly he decided to tell everyone he was signed to TDE. We're sure he's having himself a good laugh.
