Usually the first days of school can be a total lame out. Besides seeing the friends you might not have seen in a couple of months, there's nothing lit about kicking off the school year. Don't tell that to the students at Kipp Amp Charter School in Brooklyn who were turnt AF to get the academic year rolling thanks to their own remix A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie's "My Shit."

The sixth graders clearly didn't use the language on the Brooklyn rapper's breakout single which goes a little something like this. "In my bag now, In my bag now/What the fuck is that sound, what the fuck is that sound/Brought the mac out/Niggas sat down/I got shit I never had now/I could brag now/Got my bitch a Louis bag now/She could brag now/Bought my bitch a Birkin bag now/She a brat now/Now I'm sitting in the club/In a different bag now/Baby when I pick it up/You gon put that ass down/Tell 'em you don't give a fuck/Baby spin that ass 'round/Tell the DJ turn it up/What the fuck is that sound."

Instead, they flipped the lyrics on a positive note about being ready for the school year and life spitting, "We got swag now, we got swag now/We in sixth grade now/Yeah we back now/We are mentally prepared now for exams now/We got on our uniforms yeah we can brag now/Got our bags and our notebooks we can brag now/Now we're sitting in our homeroom of our class now/Getting knowledge to go to college yeah we are starting right now/Aint nothing stopping us from the right track now/Sixth graders turning up y'all know how we get down."

A Boogie's hit is clearly having an impact. The Brooklyn MC has something in the works with Drake. “I met Drake about a month ago,” Boogie told XXL about his rise to fame, noting that he wasn’t sure if it was really the chart-topping rapper for a few days, until the two had a FaceTime call. “He hit me up like two days before the Garden. He was like, ‘Yo, you ready?' Yeah, we talking ’bout working on something,” A Boogie affirms. “That’s coming in real soon.”
