The Summer Sixteen tour rolled through New York City this past weekend housing Drake , Future and their crews at MSG for three days. Their time in NYC proved to be quite eventful, full of both drama and surprise guests. Derrick Rose, A Boogie, Young Thug, Dipset, J. Cole, Fat Joe, T.I. and A$AP Ferg all came through and Drake's drama with Hot 97's Funk Flex was extremely prominent.

"You see they telling lies on Hot 97 that’s how it goes/I told ‘em fire Funk Flex and then I’ll come and do your show," Drake rapped in a freestyle on night one of the three shows at MSG. The comments sent the internet in a frenzy and ignited beef between Flex and the Toronto rapper. It all stemmed from comments Ebro made about Eminem dissing Drake paired with Funk Flex's constant attempts to expose Drake on ghostwriting accusations. The saga continued for the remainder of the weekend as both the rapper and the DJ continued to take shots at each other.

The stop in NYC was also a highlight for buzzing rapper, A Boogie, who opened up the show and newly announced Knick Derrick Rose, who publicly greeted a packed area in his new home for the first time.“He’s taking y’all all the way, I promise,” Drake told the crowd on night two in reference to the point guard's performance in the upcoming 2016-17 NBA season. The third show however, had the most guests with appearances from Cam'ron, Juelz Santana, Fat Joe, Cole, Remy Ma and Tip. Charlamagne Tha God also came through to sip on some Ace of Spades with Drizzy.

Champagne Papi and the Freebandz CEO surely made their mark on the Big Apple during their three-date stay and for those who missed it, The Summer Sixteen tour will be back in the area October 11th-16th.
