Mick Jenkins is poised to make a major leap forward later this year with his debut album The Healing Component, which receives a release date of Sept. 23 today. To commemorate the occasion, Jenkins has released the first single from the project, "Spread Love" produced by Sango.

On the track, Mick demonstrates his love-propelled flows, packing rhymes and references in with every turn. On the first verse, he raps, "This ain’t no poser shit, on some Moses shit you can see us swimming through the flow / See I done told you this but gotta show you this, you know actions do a little more / I quit the fantasies and started planted seeds tryna usher in a little growth / My nigga, we been on our way up, I won’t say a lay-up, but love is easier than what they show."

Jenkins will as well be hitting the road next month with St. Louis rapper Smino on a 12-city North American tour presented by Red Bull. Titled A Quest For Love, the tour dates are included below, with tickets available today for $3 via Red Bull Sound Select.

Mick Jenkins says of the tour and its title, "Just trying to see how much love is out there in the world in a time where we need it the most. It's so easy to hate, have a negative opinion. I want to actively talk about love- what it is, what it means to people, what it looks like and in just mere conversation that energy might be transferred. But with the music, that is precisely what we aim to do."
