The Drake vs. Meek Mill beef lives on in 2016. TMZ reports today (Aug. 23) that Drake and Meek Mill's camps have been in contact with one another and that Meek's people had warned Drizzy against disrespecting the MMG rapper when he made his tour stop in Meek's hometown of Philly earlier this month.

This seemed to have angered the 6ix God, leading him to personally go in on Meek while rapping "Back To Back" this past weekend (Aug. 22).

“And just remember, when you watch that video over and over tonight, it’s not about your city. I love your city,” Drake said, seeming to talk to Meek. “You did that shit to your motherfuckin’ self, boy!”

Its reported that Meek's team also tried to set up a full blockade of Drake while he was in Philadelphia by contacting local clubs and asking them to turn down any of Drake's requests to throw an afterparty at their venue. Drake didn't end up partying in Philly after his Sunday night show, but rather left in a hurry flanked by bodyguards.

It was a little over a year ago when Meek went on the late night Twitter rant against industry fakes and blatantly accused Drake of using ghostwriters for his 2015 mixtape If You're Reading This It's Too Late. That diss started a chain of events that would lead to Drake dropping the massively successful diss track "Back To Back," the same diss track Drizzy shamelessly performs on his current Summer Sixteen Tour.
