And Kanye West's heroic quest to jump over the Jumpman continues. According to the folks at Slam Online, 'Ye and Adidas are looking to expand the YEEZY collection to include basketball sneakers. Highest Nobiety says the shoes could be available in 2017.

Since partnering with Adidas back in late 2013, Yeezy has released four colorways of his ultra-popular YEEZY Boost 350s and three for his YEEZY 750s. The "Famous" performer has also dropped three clothing collections for his YEEZY line, the most recent of which premiered in Madison Square Garden back in February. He's done a lot, but if time has taught us anything it's that Yeezy's ambition is insatiable.

In related news, it's been announced that Yeezy will get to perform at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards this Sunday (Aug. 28). According to TMZ, Kanye has been given free reign to do whatever he wishes with the production crew and his set will last four whole minutes. Sounds like we should all be expecting big things from Kanye's performance. He's obviously made a habit of creating a ton of noise at the award show, so there's no telling what he'll do this year. Our bet is that he'll perform "Famous," a song where he name-drops Taylor Swift and ignited a firestorm of controversy.

Considering the fresh momentum behind his wife's recent Snapchat story, it'd be a bit surprising if he didn't. Fans can see for themselves when the MTV VMA's air this Sunday. Keep it locked with XXL for more updates.
