The fifth annual Hiero Day will take place on Sept. 5. The legendary Hieroglyphics collective is set to host the all-day, all-ages festival in their hometown of Oakland. The fifth anniversary event will feature over 25 lives performances across three different stages.

Hieroglyphics members Del The Funky Homosapien, Casual, Souls of Mischief, Pep Love, Domino and DJ Toure are set to the headline the festivities. A star-studded lineup of hip-hop greats will join the Hiero crew to form an impressive festival lineup. Juvenile, Murs, Dilated Peoples, Too Short, Just Blaze, Asher Roth, Mr. Lif, Paris, Lyrics Born and Young L are the confirmed artists for Hiero Day 2016. Many more acts will be announced in the near future.

There will be much more than music at Hiero Day 2016. Street art, food trucks and shops set up by local vendors are also going to be a major part of the festival. Children's activities like bounce houses and face painting will be available all the kid who plan to attend as well.

Hiero Day is scheduled to run from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Third Street and Chestnut Street in West Oakland. The location is just a short walk away from the West Oakland BART station. Public transportation is recommended since there will be limited parking available at the festival grounds.

General admission tickets are on sale now for just under $20. Pit passes can be purchased for $50 while VIP passes are available for about $200.
