Drake's Summer Sixteen tour has been, if nothing else, proof that the rapper has unparalleled connections and colleagues. Through the first leg of the North American trek, Drizzy has brought out Kanye West and Rihanna as special guests, with his final Madison Square Garden show in New York City Monday night (Aug. 8) marked by appearances from Cam'ron, Juelz Santana, Fat Joe and Remy Ma. Except that Toronto's chosen son wasn't done or close to it, as he ended his set by bringing out J. Cole.

The North Carolina rapper performed three songs – "No Role Modelz" and "A Tale Of 2 Citiez" off 2014 Forest Hills Drive as well as Jeremih's "Planez," for which he lends a guest verse. Drake doled out plenty of praise for the platinum selling Cole as well, calling him, "one of the smartest, greatest, most legendary artists of our generation" and posting the above photo to Instagram, showing one of his few contemporaries basking in the MSG glow.

Catch clips of Cole's appearance below, as the Summer Sixteen tour chugs along, stopping in Boston Wednesday night (Aug. 10). The tour has been making headlines seemingly with each stop, as Drake either calls out imitatorslocal radio DJs or gives up the stage to other acts, like the Bronx's A Boogie, who opened for Drizz multiple times during his MSG stay. As Drake continues to pull out all the stops, one has to wonder what he has in store for cities like Houston or Los Angeles, where he likewise has multiple dates and will surely keep the revolving guest door spinning.
