Maryland's own Innanet James drops his debut mixtape Quebec Place via ThreeSixEight Music Group (CCCLXVIII). The 10-track features Anik Khan, The Kount and Chaz French.

“What a surreal moment. My debut project is out! This project has a summer vibe, so I decided to name it after the uptown DC Street where I spent the best summers of my life,” explains Innanet James. “So much hard work was put into this project, and I’m excited to share it with everyone!”

The DMV area has been producing a ton of new talent recently. Chaz French, GoldLink, Shy Glizzy, Jay IDK and now Innanet James. The budding MC has grown so much since he uploaded his debut song "Black" to Soundcloud. With his family having a background in music—his father was a musician who played in go-go bands Familiar Faces and Backyard Band (BYB)—Innanet started rapping at the young age of 14. Now 21 years old, his skill has grown and he's carving out his own space in the musical landscape.

"Sometimes it'll have a message, sometimes it won't," he says. "It's between music for you to think about and music for you to dance to."
