Join us in wishing Georgia rapper Ca$h Out a happy birthday. The Columbus, Ga. native turns 28 today.

Throughout the last few years, he's been building a reputation as one of the quieter, more consistent rappers to come out of the South. In 2012 his single "Cashin Out" hit big time, peaking at No. 36 on the Hot 100. The record would go on to hit platinum and receive a remix courtesy of Akon, Fabolous, Jeezy and Yo Gotti. A second remix with Roscoe Dash and Wale also surfaced.

That song got him a meeting with L.A. Reid, the head of Epic Records, and when Reid heard another song, "Smilin' In My Face," he signed the rapper.

But by 2014 he had signed a new deal, this time with indie label E1. That same year, he briefly appeared on the charts again at No. 98 with "Twerkin." It was included on the Let's Get It mixtape, which also featured Wiz Khalifa, Rich Homie Quan, French Montana and others.

With mixtapes like Kitchens & Choppas, It's My Time and Keisha, and collaborations with Lil YachtyPusha-T and Ca$h Out had built himself a solid amount of momentum before getting a bit quiet. He dropped off his last project (Different)  in 2017, and fans can only hope for more new heat from the rapper.

Happy Birthday, Ca$h Out!
