G Herbo delivers a new song called "The Drop," produced by TrapHustleBeats. Throughout the four-minute record, Herb professes his love for lean.

The 2016 XXL freshman - best known for spitting over hard drill beats - opts for a soulful, chipmunk beat. Per usual, the Chi-town rhyme slinger does his thing: the 20-year-old drops reality raps about sipping codeine / promethazine, dropping out of school and losing friends to violence.

He displays his pinpoint delivery and wordplay, spitting, "Got it on me and I'm focused, finna drink again / Lost my homie and it still ain't really sinkin' in / I just pray we link again / Thought we knew it all except the part we was drinkin' in / I'ma Crush killer, Fanta fiend, spillin' the Sprite / Turn a pint of lean over now it's called a cream soda."

Herbo also pays homage to the person who coined the phrase 'Dirty Sprite,' shouting out Future at the beginning of the song ("This is dirty Sprite right here man, like Future handed me this motherfucker). No word on whether this track will land on Herb's next project, which is expected to drop soon.

In case you missed it, peep Herbo's recent collaboration with Philthy Rich called "59 to 79." Prior to that, he remixed Tupac Shakur's classic track, "Hail Mary." Also, be sure to check out his XXL freshman roundtable interview alongside New York rapper Dave East.
