The hardest working man in hip-hop just set the Madison Square Garden stage ablaze at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards. You can check out Future's energetic performance in the clip just above.

Performing "F*ck Up Some Commas," the ATL artist attacked the stage with his typical electricity as the glare of red lights flashed across the stage. The crowd was definitely into it, and there's no doubt they appreciated his showing, though it was a bit surprising to see him reach all the way back to a song he originally released in 2014. Still, no one is ever upset about hearing a classic.

Future's performance at this year's VMAs pretty much marks the end of what's been an exceptionally successful summer for the ATL stalwart. He's still touring with Drake for the Summer Sixteen tour, and if he's been sticking to his legendary studio habits, we know he's recorded a whole heap of new material that hasn't been released yet. In a recent interview with MTV, Hendrix explained that his break-kneck pace makes him think he'll have to slow down at one point or another. It just hasn't happened yet.

“The day gotta come where I feel like ‘Man I’m taking off a year.’ To give me a total break where I’m not even going to the studio,” he says. “I feel like it’s around the corner but it just hasn’t come.”
