Men lie, women lie, numbers don't. Frank Ocean's new album Blonde nabs the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 albums chart after a huge first week.

The Billboard milestone is a first for the Long Beach, Calif. singer. According to Nielsen Music, Blonde moved 276,000 units from Aug. 20 to Aug. 25. Out of that number, 232,000 units were from traditional album sales, and the other 44,000 were from streaming equivalent sales.

Because the album was launched as an Apple Exclusive, Blonde has also fallen victim to piracy. As of Aug. 27, Blonde had been illegally download over 750,000 times. Drake's Views and Beyoncé's Lemonade are the only 2016 albums that had more success upon initial release. Drizzy moved 1.04 million units in Views' debut week, and Bey racked up a similarly mammoth number at 653,000.

In other Blonde-related news, it's interesting that he dropped the album as an independent release, with no major label backing. Meanwhile, his other album, Endless, was put out through Def Jam to fulfill that contract. The 28-year-old artist definitely has a good handle on the music business.

If you missed it, be sure to read XXL's Blonde review. Writer Scott Glaysher says, "Blonde walks a fine line between the Frank Ocean fans have come to know and love and a darker, more intriguing side. There are some vividly told stories about his past relationships, drug-induced love affairs and even some melodic messaging on the modern political landscape, proving nothing is off limits to share with his audience."

You can cop Blonde from iTunes for $9.99, but you'll have to watch Endless exclusively on Apple Music.
