Flying Lotus is making his directorial dreams a reality and he needs help to do so.

Last Sunday, the famed electronic producer unveiled the first short film from his Brainfeeder label titled Royal at Sundance NEXT Festival. Now, the 32-year-old artist is sharing details about his motivation and revealing that Royals is actually a part of a bigger project called Kuso.

The LA based producer sent off a series of tweets yesterday (Aug. 15) that explained it all in kooky FlyLo fashion. Notice that he answered a fan saying that "the plan" is for him to release a new album along with the film, for which he'll be going by his rap alias, Captain Murphy. Kuso will also include new music from Aphex Twin and Thundercat.

"The idea behind "Kuso" is a simple one. It's pretty much everything I'm afraid of," wrote FlyLo in one telling tweet. He also retweeted a fan who found a Wikipedia definition for "kuso," which means "crap" or "bullshit" in Japanese, often used as an interjection. It can also be used to describe outrageous or crude matters of poor quality. If that's a hint about what FlyLo's new movie will be about, this Adult Swim alum is getting ready to drop something that fits the bill.
