E-40 is giving his stamp of approval to one of hip-hop's budding stars. The Bay Area legend enlists the help of Oakland rapper Kamaiyah for his single "Petty" produced by J Hawk. 40 Water and Kamaiyah call out all the pettiness they see in their respective lives while letting it be known these insignificant folks won't phase them.

"Most of these bitches is petty, frivolous/I'm having my scrill and my fetti, privileges/Only smoke gas not no reggie, power/Broccoli, organic veggies, sour/Send him to hell not to heaven/Go through the Teflon in fifth, 57/Somebody call the ambulambs and the reverend/Teach a fuck nigga a valuable lesson," E-40 raps.

This new track will appear on E-40's double album The D-Boy Diary: Book 1 and 2 which is due out in November. The song also shows the West Coast pioneer is always keeping his eye for the next great rapper in the Bay.

"When I work with talent from my community, it feels organic," 40 said. "Kamaiyah is a talented artist and she's bubbling right now in the streets."

Getting a co-sign from E-40 surely means a lot to Kamaiyah. And receiving respect from a legend will only boost her established confidence.

"I think like 10 years from now, I’m gonna be like... one of the biggest female rappers in the world, if not the biggest," Kamaiyah said. "That’s how I see myself going. Not even being cocky. You gotta believe."
