The fallout from Jhene Aiko filing for divorce from Dot Da Genius continues, with the producer taking to Instagram on Monday night (Aug. 15) to issue a statement regarding rumors that he was in any way abusive toward the singer. Aiko herself had denied rumors that she cheated, writing in a since deleted tweet, "i only cheated myself. so glad to be free from all the drugs, depression and confrontation.”

The rumor mill continues to spin with this break-up, Dot clearing the air somewhat with the above post. "In light of public threats, false allegations and attempts to slander my name and character, I am compelled to speak up," he wrote. "Because my nature is peaceful, I’ve been silent out of respect for all involved, and to maintain my privacy. However, I believe the truth must be heard, which is that I’ve never been violent or abusive towards any woman in my life. Such behavior is abhorrent to me and far from how I conduct myself. Moving forward, I will continue to focus on my family, friends and music, and soon enough the entire truth shall come to light."

Public break-ups are never easy, and Aiko's displays of affection toward Big Sean are only complicating the matter. Kid Cudi, who has worked closely with Dot throughout his career, has taken up for the producer, writing, "The funny thing is, we aint sweatin these bum bitches and these corn ball ass niggas. We too busy makin better music.” The intresting part there is that, while Cudi has broken away from his G.O.O.D. Music family, he still shares some of the same origins as Sean.
