DJ Whoo Kid was detained by the NYPD earlier this week while he was leaving work at the SiriusXM office in Manhattan.

Nassau County Sheriffs scooped up the G-Unit affiliate on an outstanding family court warrant on Monday (Aug. 8), reports TMZ. According to the site, Kid had a warrant for missing a court date, and police records showed that he was two years behind on child support.

Whoo Kid reportedly had to prove that he was up to date on his payments before he was released.

This isn't the first time Whoo Kid has been arrested on the busy streets of NYC. Back in 2013, he got arrested while he was leaving G-Unit headquarters in Manhattan. That time, the problem was unpaid parking tickets, and the disk jockey was released after almost a day behind bars.

He later addressed the incident during an interview on Sirius. “I didn’t know I had nine suspensions on my license,” said Whoo Kid who was all jokes during the interview. “They said I was texting, whatever. I was looking at my phone and they pulled me over,” he said.

Whoo Kid managed to avoid getting arrested this go round, but the same can't be said several rappers in the industry in 2016. Over a dozen well-known MCs have sat in a jail cell at some point this year including 50 Cent, Kodak Black, Freddie Gibbs, Lil Reese Yasiin Bey, Fat Trel, Nipsey Hussle and Troy Ave.
