Despite his social media blunders, Bow Wow aka Shad Moss, still manages to land work in Hollywood. The rapper/actor has just been tapped to host the upcoming show Tracks on Spike TV, according to The Hollywood Reporter. In a report today (Aug. 18), Bow Wow has been tapped to host Spike TV's Christina Aguilera-produced competition show, a spin-off of their success Lip Sync Battle series, premiering Sept. 1 with back-to-back episodes.

Moss made the announcement official himself by taking to Instagram to share the big news along with a preview of the show.

"It's like a concert where a gameshow breaks out," says Moss in one show teaser.

It was just two weeks ago that Bow Wow announced he was retiring from rap music. The 29-year-old, who got his start in music at age 6, made the announcement after he was dragged online for his short-sighted comments on the nation's current election and Black Lives Matter movement. Bow Wow said he wouldn't be voting in this fall's upcoming election because he is of mixed race and can't relate to Black people's issues in America. He even went as far as to post a photo of his light-skinned father to prove his mixed-race heritage.

“Man I only believe what the eyes see. I’m mixed. I don’t know what my ancestors was doing. I only know what I see,” he tweeted to a fan after saying he wouldn't be voting.

The whole ordeal was pretty confusing to Bow Wow's fanbase, especially since he's spent the majority of his career in Black media, whether it be rapping or hosting on shows like BET's musical countdown show 106 & Park. BET proceeded to clown their former host in response to his comments by playing his old music videos on their channel with the hashtag #WeLostBowWow. But now with this new show in the works, the former rapper has found a home on a new Viacom Network show.

Catch Bow Wow back on your TV screen when Tracks makes its debut Sept. 1 at 10:30 p.m. on Spike TV.
