Big Boi and Killer Mike are teaming up for an EP. In a new interview, Big Boi revealed he and longtime collaborator Mike Bigga are finally working together on a joint project.

"Me and Killer Mike, we’re gonna put out a little EP after I put out my next solo record or something like that," the OutKast member said. "We’ve been entertaining the idea for a long time and finally got enough songs to where we just said the other night that we’re gonna do it."

Big Boi stated he was about halfway done with his follow-up to 2012's Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors album which will drop before this collaborative EP. Killer Mike has his own project to complete as he and El-P are working on the new Run The Jewels LP. Big Boi talked about how Mike is incredibly busy these days yet still finds time to record with him.

"Wait until you hear this new shit," Big Boi member said. "Killer Mike is busy as hell. I mean, he’ll come straight from the airport and go into the studio and bust on two or three records and come back again the next day. We’re just trying to put as many ideas out there as possible."

Big Boi and Killer Mike have a long history of working together dating back to the latter's breakthrough performance on OutKast's single "The Whole World." The two's most recent collaboration was 2013's "Banana Clipper" from Run The Jewels' debut album.
