21 Savage is the latest guest to join The Breakfast Club, and he talks about getting kicked out of school in seventh grade for bringing a pistol in, the gang culture in Atlanta and more.

During the interview, he reveals that Sonny Digital was the first guy to ever give him a microphone after iLoveMakonnen's "Tuesday" blew up. Throughout the interview he also discusses being surrounded constantly by death and always having to attend funerals. He even saw his uncle get shot in the head twice when he was 11 years old.

When asked by Charlamagne if he ever thinks there'll be a time where he doesn't rap about violence, 21 gives a thought-provoking answer: "One day I will. But if 21 savage didn't come out rapping about them things, who would be listening to 21 Savage? Would I even be on this platform talking to you if it wasn't for me saying ignorance to catch people's attention?" That fucks Charlamagne up.

In his 2016 Freshman interview, 21 explained why he's become so popular in Atlanta: "I’m a real gangsta, I really come from that shit. There’s other niggas too that come from that shit but most of these niggas don’t come from it. I’m not saying that it’s a problem, I’m just saying that’s what’s different from me. Like I’ve been shot, all types of shit. Lost niggas right in front of me, I’ve been in real life or death situations and shit. I’m just different from these niggas. And I’m humble and got a brain. Most of these niggas be dumb as fuck, even in their interviews, they just be looking dumb as hell. They don’t know how to speak or nothing."
