Saudi-American rapper/singer/producer $kinny unleashes a new project, 1999 Parachutes EP. The 10-track body of work features rappers including Ace Hood and Skeme, and most of its production is by $kinny himself.

The Los Angeles-based artist tells the Saudi Gazette, “I’m creating the soundtrack to my life by putting all of these different influences on the spaceship. It’s more than songs; it’s an experience.”

He continues, “Music is my calling. I’m blessed to do what I do. I really want to show people that even though it’s a cold world, you can break through barriers, keep fighting, and take it to another level. I hope it inspires the next person to do whatever it is they’re dreaming of.”

$kinny became a permanent LA resident in 2005, and he's been focused on his music ever since. For more information about the up-and-comer, be sure to check out his website. His previous project was called Ghetto Disneyland and consisted of 15 original tracks.
