Shy Glizzy, Dreezy and Clams Casino are finding success on the Billboard charts. All three artists not only entered the Billboard Heatseekers chart, but also landed in the top 10. The Heatseekers chart is meant to highlight the sales of up-and-coming or developing artists. Former XXL Freshman Shy Glizzy charted the highest amongst the three. The D.C. rapper landed at No. 2 with his new mixtape Young Jefe 2.

Clams Casino secured the No. 3 spot via his new album 32 Levels. The project features contributions by the likes of Vince Staples, ASAP Rocky, Lil B and Mikky Ecko. Chicago native Dreezy's debut album No Hard Feelings helped her claim a No. 4 ranking on the Heatseekers chart. The 19-track LP was originally released as an Apple Music exclusive before being made available on other streaming outlets. Dreezy's first album for Interscope Records includes guest appearances by Gucci Mane, Wale and T-Pain.

Kosha Dillz and YFN Lucci were the other hip-hop acts to secure places on the Billboard Heatseekers chart. Kosha Dillz's What I Do All Day and Pickle debuted at No. 15 in its first week as a charting release. YFN Lucci's Wish Me Well 2 claimed the No. 25 and final spot on the chart. Canadian band BADBADNOTGOOD also maintained their presence on the chart at No. 12, which was significantly down from their No. 3 position of the previous week. BADBADNOTGOOD is known for their covers of hip-hop tracks in addition to collaborations with artists like Ghostface Killah and Danny Brown.
