The tragic events of this past week have affected us all in different ways. Rappers are no different. Some have chose to get out and march while others have put their feelings on wax. Lil Durk will have a permanent reminder of the everything that went on this week, as the events influenced him to get a "Black Lives Matter" tattoo.

Following the death of Philando Castile, Durk was vocal on Twitter posting the tweet, "Police get away with murder." It appears he took his emotions even further getting the BLM tatt.

The Chicago rapper showed off his new ink on Snapchat. In the short clip, he showcases his newly-stamped tatt which contains a black fist surrounded by the words "Black Lives Matter" on his forearm. The caption reads, "What's going on today crazy to me in the world - we matter 2x."

Durk is less than two weeks away from dropping his sophomore album LilDurk2x. He recently put out the video for the track "True." Shot by Joe Moore, and produced by Sonny Digital, Durk posts up on a balcony high rise and raps about gangsta ish in front of picturesque views.

The album was initially headed for a June release but was pushed back to July 22. XXL recently spoke with the Windy City rapper about his evolution from one project to the next. "I wanted them to hear where I come from. That’s what Remember My Name meant," he said. "With LilDurk2x, it’s a good vibe to it, good energy. I’m talking that real shit and I just feel good about everything. We had fun with it this time."
