Last year, Joey Bada$$ posted a selfie of President Obama'a oldest daughter, Mali rocking a Pro Era shirt on Instagram, and what should have been an innocent post turned into a big deal. The picture reportedly launched a White House investigation into how a personal photo of POTUS' daughter got leaked on the Internet, and Joey thinks the gob'ment is still monitoring his whereabouts to this day.

Bada$$ said shortly after the incident that he thought the government was tapping his phone calls because he started hearing clicks during his phone convos. But he thinks they also may have done some yard work on his property in order to get a better monitoring vantage point.

“There was a tree outside my door that shaded my whole house,” he tells The New York Post. “It had been there for years. But when that shit with Malia went down, the tree was gone. The timing was too suspicious. I guess they [had] to get clearer pictures."

He doesn't seem worried about whoever is looking finding anything. “It’s all good. I’m only doing positive things,” he added.

Joey apologized for causing an uproar with the photo back when it all went down. “Shoutout to Malia for supporting the ERA. It’s very clear that we meant no harm by posting the pic. Peace to the White House! #B4DAMONEY,” he posted then deleted on Twitter.

Apparently God forgives, the Secret Service don't.
