Ice Cube is teaming up with VH1 for a new show called Hip-Hop Squares, a version of the old game show Hollywood Squares. There are already at least 20 episodes in the works for a fall 2016 season.

The tic-tac-toe-like game will feature celebrity contestants competing to see who has the best grasp on hip-hop knowledge. The original Hollywood Squares first aired in 1966 and spanned more than 5,000 episodes over four decades.

Ice Cube tells Billboard, "Hip Hop Squares is going to be fun and spontaneous; unlike typical game shows, viewers should never know what’s going to happen next. When VH1 asked us to join the producing team, we jumped aboard as we have had success with VH1, and we love their team, excitement and commitment to the show."

Meanwhile, VH1 President Chris McCarthy tells Billboard, "Ice Cube is one of the most prolific figures in hip-hop history and American culture at large," VH1 and Logo president Chris McCarthy said. "We are thrilled to partner with him and CBS Distribution to reinvent one of America's most iconic game shows with Hip Hop Squares.”

In other Ice Cube-related news, the legendary Cali MC recently told TMZ he's still going to perform "Fuck the Police" no matter what's happening across the nation. Cube tells reporters, “Pressure me? Pressure me to do what? Nobody said nothing to me. I ain’t gonna change nothing I do, cause I ain’t doin’ nothing wrong.”
