Today, July 26, is the birthday of New York rapper and A$AP Mob member A$AP Nast.

Tariq Devega, better known as A$AP Nast, was born and raised in Harlem with the majority of his A$AP Mob brothers. He was one of the first members to join the crew started by Steven "A$AP Yams" Rodriguez in 2007, first going by the moniker New York Nast. Nast's bars shined through on fellow crew member A$AP Rocky's debut mixtape Live.Love.ASAP in 2011 and the Mob's 2012 compilation tape Lords Never Worry. Nast's breakthrough as a soloist was on the song "Trillmatic", the first single from the Mob's debut album L.O.R.D., which was released in December 2013. The ode to '90s hip-hop helped put the crew on the map, although L.O.R.D. never dropped.

Nast was on hand for the Mob's national TV debut recently when they appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to perform their new single "Yamborghini High." The infectious track is set to serve as the lead single off the Mob's upcoming album Cozy Tapes Vol. 1.

“It’s the Yams album that he was working on before he passed," Rocky said in an interview about the upcoming album. "So, it’s basically an A$AP collective. Like your Ruff Ryders Volume 1 type, Ryde or Die Vol. 1 or like Diplomatic Immunity.”

Happy Birthday, A$AP Nast!
