French Montana is in full press rollout mode for his upcoming album MC4, due out next month on August 19. French already has a hit on his hands with the Drake-featured "No Shopping," which dropped over the weekend on OVO Sound Radio. While the Bronx-bred Coke Boy was in NYC, he stopped by Hot 97 to talk with Ebro, Laura Stylez and Peter Rosenberg to talk about, among other things, the rumored beef between Drake and Joe Budden.

"I don't know what's going on with that whole situation," said French around the 13-minute mark of the video above. "It's just that name never came up when we were in the studio...Usually I would be like, 'Yo, you really going at him?,'...I think Joe made it about him."

"That's for sure. That's confirmed," laughed Rosenberg.

"I feel like Joe just be in a dark room writing bars," said French, insinuating that Budden is taking the beef way to seriously.

The controversy between the two started when Joe believed Drizzy didn't go hard enough rap-wise on his highly anticipated album Views. Joe has been going at Drake for the past few months on wax with songs like "Making A Murderer Part 1" and "Wake". In response to the 6ix God's presumed diss on "No Shopping," Joe immediately dropped "Afraid" the same day.

Here's Drake's verse on "No Shopping," which seems to clearly reference Joe's 2003 single "Pump It Up."

"Pump, pump, pump it up/She got a good head on her, but I pump it up/I'm not a one hit wonder, they know all my stuff/You let me turn into the nigga that you almost was/I done seen a lot of shit and I done been in things/And I never started nothin', I just finish things/And I'm sell off like the man that brought me in this thing/How you out here celebratin' like the winnin' team?/No, calm down, calm down/Shit ain't how you think it is, take a look around/I'm supposed to be on a vacation right now/But I'm home wildin', word to DJ Khaled/Back with another one/I'm steady droppin' bombs on your head top/Been that way since I could make your bed rock/I'm on a floor where you can't shop/Bitch, I just rapped and it went pop/Next move better than my last move/Your next move can't erase your past moves."
